Lil Lena loves my classroom guinea pigs! She asks everyday to hold them! She loves to snuggle up and rock them like babies and keeps asking to bring it home!

Hansel and Gretel

Pretty proud of her destructive powers!

New Year's Resolution...

The kids have set their new year's resolutions: be cute, be evil, and workout. The kids love working out with me and Lil Lena loves to run too. She can even run over a mile without stopping. We also do yoga together and they have a few great kids yoga videos on amazon prime that we do.
Lil Lena and Toren stretching out with the resistant bands, following mamas instructions.

We have 3 sets of light weights, 2lbs, 3lbs and 5lbs and the kids love lifting weights with me. Each kiddo also has their own yoga block too. Next we will be getting them their own mats, since they don't like to share when we do yoga.

My lil penguin

Lil man loves to dress up in costumes and he always finds the new costumes I put out! Everytime he comes into my classroom he puts on the penguin and waddles around the room. So cute!

Chuck e Cheese

So we were going to go see Walking with Dinosaurs, but when we got to the theater they were all sold out of tickets! The kiddos were upset, but we were a 2 minute drive from Chuck e Cheese, so we made a night of it!

Toren was my partner in crime, while lil Lena and papa went to the big kid side!

All in all, Mormor saved the night! The kids had a blast thanks to her quick thinking!

Trains, Trains, Trains

For Christmas from Mormor and Grandpa David, Toren got some more Thomas the Train track sets to add to our collection. The kids love to make a big train set!
This morning we made our best track yet, using every single track!
The kids had a blast as you can see!

Snow-dough

With it being so chilly here and the kids being cooped up inside all day with papa, I decided to surprise the kiddos with a special activity when I can came home from work today! We made peppermint-scented snow-dough!The kids helped me pour in and mix together flour, salt, alum, oil, peppermint extract and a drop of blue food coloring. We cooked it up and tada, our minty snow-dough was ready!
We got out some of our play-doh tools and began creating some snow beast!

Papa felt the need to photo bomb our pics. He also thought the dough was edible and put a huge chunk in his mouth and almost vomited (it contains over 2 cups of salt)! Serves him right!

Crowning the New Year

It's New Years Eve and to celebrate the coming of a new year, we decided to make sugar cookie crowns which we frosted and then decorated with lots of yummy candy.

As you might have guessed, more candy made it into their mouths than on the actual cookies.

The cookies turned out great and I think this might be an activity we do at Lena's princess themed birthday party, since the kids loved it!

Grandpa David's 60th Birthday

Grandpa David turned 60 today! We celebrated by having dinner at Magiannos Little Italy, which is a really nice Italian Restaraunt here in Nashville!
Since it was his birthday Grandpa David got to pick his table partners and as evident by the pictures her choose Lil Lena and Mom.

 Blowing out the candles!

Under the weather

Poor lil Lena has got a fever and sore throat! She even asked me to leave when I was tucking her in because she was too tired to snuggle!
